Aug.29 — Jacob Frenkel, former governor of the Bank of Israel who was also chairman of JPMorgan Chase International, discusses Federal Reserve policy and whether he thinks Chair Jay Powell should be reappointed. Speaking at the Fed’s annual Jackson Hole policy forum, Powell said the central bank could begin slowing down asset purchases this year as the U.S. economy recovers from the pandemic.
